CONTRADICTIONS
Halotherapy is recognised as a safe and effective wellness practice for preventative and restorative health care. It is not a medical treatment and does not offer cure. Halotherapy IS NOT recommended for people with -contagious disease, fever, open wounds, severe hypertension, mental disorders, active tuberculosis or cancer. Pregnant women should consult with their doctor before using Halotherapy. Please note: Salt therapy is not advised during chemotherapy as the detoxification process of Dry Salt Therapy might react with the chemo. Once treatment is finished, Salt Therapy may help to detoxify and support the healing process.
IS HALOTHERAPY SAFE FOR CHILDREN?
Yes, Halotherapy is safe for children, in fact they respond to treatments much faster and require shorter sessions. 20-30 minutes are recommended for beneficial results .Children and Adults who experience chronic or multiple colds through out the year due to day cares, schools or poor ventilation in the work environment can benefit greatly from Halotherapy.
DO I NEED TO STOP MY MEDICATION?
We would never advise you to stop taking your prescribed medication. Salt Therapy is a natural therapy and works along side your medication. You may find that you will become less dependent on certain medications as your symptoms become less frequent and less severe.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME IN FOR SALT THERAPY?

For chronic respiratory and skin conditions such as Asthma, Bronchitis, Emphysema,
Psoriasis, Eczema etc it is recommended to complete 12- 30 sessions in as short a time as possible.
2-3 or more times a week. This may be once or twice a year for maintaining positive results.

For other temporary conditions eg: colds and flu’s between 1 and 8 visits can be effective.
